Actress Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara Oswald) has been chatting to UK TV listings magazine the Radio Times about the upcoming Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name of the Doctor. During the interview she says:
"in the beginning we see a Clara in the 60s, 70s and the 80s
so there are a lot of costume changes," adding:
"we finally understand why the Doctor has met Clara
so many different times."

Current TARDIS occupants Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman have been talking about the Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name of the Doctor, to the BBC. Discussing the villains of the piece, The Whispermen, Matt describes them as "a modern day classic with a brilliant style. They’re truly terrifying!" whilst Jenna adds they are the "best baddies! I really think they are going to become another Moffat classic."
Regarding the plot of The Name of the Doctor, Smith teases: "With the 50th [anniversary], this is going to be by far the biggest year in the history of the show. And the finale is just the start. It focuses on a pivotal moment in the Doctor’s life and the life of his companion. It’s a complete game changer and it all starts now."
Whilst Coleman states, "There are little bits and pieces, which Steven [Moffat] planted a couple of years ago. It’s just really clever and a crucial moment in the Doctor’s life that you get to explore," and on the topic of Clara and her impossibleness, the actress says, "All I can say is that Clara hasn’t just met the Doctor three times before..."

BBC America have announced that Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman will be guests on the new series of The Nerdist, starting March 30. Click on the picture above for a bigger version. Host Chris Hardwick meets Matt and Jenna in the first episode where Smith will share "tidbits on the 50th anniversary". It airs March 30, 10pm ET/PT whilst in the next episode, on April 6, former companion Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) will make an appearance.

Actress Jenna-Louise Coleman, new companion Clara Oswald, has been talking about Doctor Who Series 8 and has revealed that there could be a substantial amount of time before it appears on our screens. She said:
“There could be a big gap until the next series. I think the writer Steven Moffat is off doing Sherlock and there’ll be a lot of preparation for the 50th anniversary special.”

Matt Smith (The Eleventh Doctor) and Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara) have been discussing their favourite episodes from Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2 with the BBC. The former favours the third episode, Cold War, set on a Russian submarine spiralling out of control in 1983 with an alien creature (Ice Warrior) loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice. Matt states:
"They built a submarine and the five-year old in me was like 'Yeah it’s a submarine!', I loved getting sprayed down at the beginning of the shoot and it wasn’t a chore as it does so much of the acting for you, making it really authentic. Mark Gatiss has delivered one of the best episodes of the series."The latter says of the returning classic Doctor Who monster, the Ice Warrior:
"They were terrifying! I think this is the first time Clara is really, really scared. The whole set was really realistic and built to size, which wasn’t too much of a problem for me. Before every take they would come and spray us, the whole make-up process was reversed as they would damp us down in the morning and rub my mascara off! We were soaking wet for two weeks."
Also starring in the Mark Gatiss tale is screen legend David Warner - take a look at him in the episode HERE. The new companion actress, Jenna-Louise Coleman added: "I really like The Rings of Akhaten as and it’s the first proper adventure for the Doctor and Clara."
